Let’s Make it Work for You
Being a teenager can feel overwhelming at times. The ups and downs of these years often come with a lot of emotional and mental changes. You might face tough situations or develop negative thoughts about yourself that make it hard to feel balanced and good about who you are. While talking to friends or family can help sometimes, what if those feelings keep coming back and interfere with your daily life?
If you’ve been dealing with issues like a painful breakup, feeling embarrassed in class, experiencing panic attacks during tests, or facing any other tough situation —know that it’s okay to seek help. Many adults wished they had told someone earlier or got the help they needed when they were younger, instead of struggle with their symptoms their whole life.
EMDR Intensives can be a great option for you. These sessions are designed specifically for young people like you, allowing you to tackle difficult feelings in a focused way. Instead of going to therapy for weeks on end, you can do extended sessions in just 3 to 4 days, making it easier to fit into your busy schedule.
Currently, appointments are available if you are at least 16 years old, have a supportive network around you (like friends and family), and are ready to tackle the problems you struggle with. A 3-hour EMDR Intensive session is scheduled once, or twice a week. It’s also helpful if you have access to a psychologist or a school counsellor for additional support after your EMDR Intensive treatment.
Taking this step can help you process challenging experiences and learn to think in healthier ways.
Remember, asking for help is a sign of strength.
Please note that it is at the discretion of the psychologist to determine if an intensive format is right for you.
